INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE

MWDBA – Baseball for All Ages

Representative Program

MWDBA will conduct an Representative program from February to June for interested players in the Intermediate League age group. Players do not have to have been selected in or trialled for the Representative Development Program to be considered for this program, however, it would be deemed beneficial. Selection trials will be conducted in late January and early February.

The MWDBA Intermediate League Representative Team will train up to 2 times per week and compete in:

  • Practice games against other Associations (March) matches are generally conducted on Sunday mornings
  • Baseball NSW Intermediate League State Championships – this event takes place during the April School Holidays
  • Baseball Australia National Championships (if the team qualifies) – this event takes place at the end of May and is often interstate

MWDBA’s focus for this Representative Team will be tournament success and progression to the National Championships. The best players will be selected for the team and will regularly play in positions in the field where they are the strongest players. Players may be asked to play in positions that they may not regularly play in club games. The coach will have the ultimate authority to determine playing positions and the amount of playing time that each player receives (in conjunction with competition rules) during competitions/tournaments.

Cost: $300 per player plus uniform and travel costs if applicable
