Return to Play
Welcome back to the 2021-2022 Manly Warringah Junior Baseball season. I hope that you all had a happy Christmas and New Year.
The season return, again see us all impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. While there are no specific public health orders that impact the return to baseball, there are a few things that all of us can do to mitigate the impact.
I would encourage all parents and caregivers to notify your respective team and/club if your baseballer either contracts COVID or is classified as a close contact, to assist with team management and competition management.
I would ask that all ballplayers and their families continue adhere to the personal hygiene practices that we have all become so accustomed to, and I would encourage spectators to be socially distant at the games and consider wearing face masks, particular, in the vicinity of the field, dugouts, canteens and amenities blocks.
For your ballplayers, please encourage them to be responsible for the own personal equipment and not to share personal items with their teammates, particularly gloves and water bottles.
If you wish for your ballplayer to wear a face mask during play or if any team official wishes to wear a face mask during play, there will be no objections from the competition committee.
A further reminder that the second half of the season will include mid-week games played in most divisions, as was the case for the first half of the season.
Please do not hesitate to speak to your team officials, club officials or contact the Manly Warringah Junior Baseball Competition committee, through the Manly website, should you have any questions or concerns.
