MWDBA – Baseball for All Ages

Rookies team(s) play ‘machine or zooka’ pitch baseball.

Representative Development Program

MWDBA will conduct a Representative Development Program from October to December for interested players who play in the local ‘Zooka’ competition. The number of players selected into this program will be determined by player registration numbers, player ability levels and coach availability. This program will include one training session/game per week and participation in the following tournaments/competitions:

  • Practice games against other Associations (October – December)
  • Warriors Cup – (Early December) This is a 1-day Tournament

Cost: Approx $150 per player plus uniform

Representative Season

MWDBA will conduct an Representative Season program from February to March for interested players who play in the local ‘Zooka’ competition. Players do not have to have been selected in or trialled for the Representative Development Program to be considered for the Representative Team, however, it would be deemed beneficial. Selection trials will be conducted in late January and early February.

The MWDBA Rookies Team(s) will train once per week and compete in:

  • Baseball NSW Rookies Cup (March) this is a 1-day Tournament
  • Practice games or mini tournaments against other Associations (March) matches are generally conducted on Sunday mornings

MWDBA’s focus for Rookies teams is player development. All players will receive equitable playing time and the opportunity to play in 2 of their preferred positions on tournament weekends.
